Jersey Motoring Festival trip, not just a car show but a very enjoyable week!
It all started with a long ferry ride, calm waters thankfully, then once in Jersey trying to remember the way to our hotel, just as nice as remembered. A restful first day with all the men cleaning and polishing their pride and joy's ready for the first show day!
With the sun shining brightly we left the men to play with cars on both show days and off to enjoy ourselves, from shopping, train rides, zoo visits and a very interesting day at Elizabeth Castle with lessons for arming and firing cannon's and muskets (men beware!).
After the weekend it was time to relax and visit the many scenic places of Jersey, including another castle (with lots of steps), a Steam Museum (more cars) and lots of walking.
The last day of our holiday we joined Jersey Classic Car Club who organised a car run around the Island (mostly very narrow lanes), although we did lose a few as their guides decided not to follow the whole route and missed out on seeing the dolphins. We ended the run being treated to pub lunch courtesy of the Jersey Car Club. All in all a very enjoyable and social week, with thanks to all involved.
